I am sick with a really bad cold- one thing that cheered me up is remembering another sick day.  I think it’s humorous and I laughed out loud- only thing that has gotten me to smile today, and it also shows how our family helps each other out.

Not long after Dustin and I got married we both got really sick.  Finally after a week and still no sign of relief I called mom crying (remember I was only 21!).  Mom of course was like I’ll be right up.  In the mean time Uncle Tom (they lived in south suburbs at the time) calls and I didn’t answer – It was so funny, well maybe I shouldn’t say that but it was.  On the answering maching he’s yelling “Get out of the house.  We think you have carbon monoxide poisoining!”  I think at that point Dustin actually pulled himself to the phone and answered so they knew we weren’t dead!  Marcy was up within an hour with groceries and did my weeks worth of laundry!
