I felt like the mice comments needed there own post. I have to agree I am so afraid of them and hate them too. Mom instilled it in us at a very early age! I wanted to post a picture of a mouse just to gross mom out but couldn’t even bring myself to do it! But I do agree w/ Jean on mice. And I don’t think it’s just a Prentice woman thing – (I have seen Jared jump on a chair and squeal like a school girl at the mere mention!).
You gals are funny! Poor Jared, but I can totally relate!
very funny Kellie!!! One thing I hate is that Lucy is learning to love them darn little mice. she has a movie of Cinderella and the mouseys always help Cinderella and then this big cat tries to get the mice and Lucy makes Kellie fast forward becasue she don’t like the big cat and is worried he will eat the mice! being the nice Grandma I am I keep my mouth shut secretly hating the mice and wishing the cat could kill them.
by the way I taught all my kids to fear mice! what is wrong with that?
Not all of us are afraid of mice…
The Jared story. A mouse was in the house and we (I think Mitch was there) were trying to catch it. jared was on the kitchen counter and leaped onto the kitchen table which proceeded to break in half right down the center. Normally something like this would hurt but he was back on his feet and back on top of the counter in an instant. I can’t remember if we were able to get the table back together or not — The sad thing is, most moms would not have bought the story of the table breaking simply because a mouse was running wild but not ours. She totally understood because you would never want a mouse to run up your leg.
I should have used the “mouse” excuse more often!! I stayed out ’til 3AM mom because I knew there was a damn mouse in the house…not like I was at a party or anything
Lannie- I believe a squirrel is a rodent too- and I know you have your fears of them. Maybe you could tell us all that story?
hey squirrels, I always trusted my kids. I see now I was so Blind!! I guess I never told my Dad and Mom any made up things so I thought you kids were just like me…..
I could tell a few times you didn’t tell Mom and dad the truth….beer, whiskey, sweet drinks, all the same….*0*
carol-word….
What, you mean mom wasn’t the perfect little angel she claims she was???
carol was way older than me and graduated when I was a freshman. Jean was always too drunk at parties to even see what I was doing…
Christa,
Mom’s memory is better than you think about your behavior:)
Nick
You guys are funny!
I will remember the story forever about Buzz. maybe it was just a story, he told me one time when i was little, he was shelling corn and a Rat or mouse ran up his pant leg and he had to take his hand and work it back down his leg. I have been scared ever since of mice.
I’m also scared of squirrels, if memory serves me right, I remember when Jerry got bit by one. I will walk to the other side of the street if there is a squirrel sitting in my path. I’m scared to death of them.

As I was reading your post I was thinking, Jared is the biggest girl of all of us when the word ‘mouse’ is uttered!! But then you mentioned it, so it’s all good! Didn’t he run around with a broom trying to shoo a mouse at one point??
