Okay hopefully you all won’t think I’m a chintz but I’m going to post my Christmas letter here for you all with the picture!  I thought hey it saves me a lot of work and a little money!

Dear Friends and Family, The angel said to them, “Fear not: for behold, I bring you good news of great joy which will be for all the people;  for today in the city of David there has been born for you a Savior, who is Christ the Lord.  “This will be a sign for you: you will find a baby wrapped in cloths and lying in a manger.”  Luke 2:11-12 Merry Christmas!  That is Lucy’s favorite part of the Christmas story and it’s a great reminder for me.  I have great joy, my Savior has been born!  And even better He is coming back!  It has been really fun celebrating the Christmas season with Lucy.  She loves the lights, the trees, the ornaments, and baby Jesus.  Oh may she continue to be awed by the story of God becoming man!  It truly is amazing.   We have much to be thankful for in 2007:

  • My adorable niece, Zoe Mae, was born in March
  • Visiting good friends in Fresno in March
  • Dustin’s sister Tonya was married to Matt in March and now Dustin finally has another guy on that side of the family!
  • Dustin’s trips to Syria- from the people he travels with to the people he travels to- he always comes back very encouraged.
  • Immanuel Baptist Church.  Dustin started preaching and ministering there part-time in March.  He really loves to do both and we have been very blessed by the kindness and warmth of this body of believers.
  • Our Small Group.  We have been meeting with these friends for 2 years now and it has been a place of grace and truth for us.
  • A week in June at a friend’s cabin in Hayward, WI.  (Thanks again!)  It was beautiful and relaxing- we read a lot!
  • My brother Lannie and Jill were married in August.  The last of my siblings to take the plunge!  Dustin was honored to marry them.
  • We are also thankful for the life He gave my Grandma Arlene.  She passed away last month.  She was a wonderful lady and we miss her.
  • Mostly we are thankful for Jesus because in all the things that didn’t go as we planned this year we know that He is working for our good!

Joy to the world the Lord is come!  May your heart prepare Him room! With love,    Dustin, Kellie and Lucy

Merry Christmas Kellie. Lucy is absolutely beautiful with the face of an angel! I love seeing pictures of her. The puffy coat is great…reminds me of the little boy in “A Christmas Story.”

Never get tired of seeing that picture of Luc…she’s a ham, just like her Grandma!!

Merry Christmas Kellie Nice christmas letter. You have a nice family. Linda

Kellie you have a nice looking family, Are you in Jordon now? I spent a Christmas eve in the sand in Saudi Arabia! It just didn’t seem like Christmas without the snow and family around, but the other Marines and I sat around and talked about what we would be doing if we were home for Christmas, “I was one of the few that came from a close family and I realized then how lucky I was, funny how things like that stick in your brain! Wishing you and your family a merry Christmas and a great New Year! Todd
