Keith Newton, Amy’s husband lost his Dad this weekend and I would like to extend my sympathies to them and their sons and the rest of the family.  I saw your Dad’s obituary in the mason city paper Keith and I see where you got your good looks.  He sounded like a very nice man.  Al and I are thinking about you during this hard time.

Monday morning I planned on sleeping in from my BIG weekend but Dave Scheller called at 8 and said he was going to come and work on our front door )re-do it after our first contracter screwed it up royal) anyway I was poed since I was so tired but got up and cleaned up right away and headed for the Bend.  I knew Jean would be up so went to her place first.  We called Carol later and told her to come over and sit and visited.  At noon when we knew mary would be up we called her.  I was soooo hungry for a Mike’s wiener so we went to the locker to buy some and of course they were out so we go uptown and eat together at the cafe. While eating dinner Mary notcies Carol has a facial hair and we all about die laughing and Carol proceeds to cuss about getting old and how much your body changes.(of course there sits Jean with no hair just soft beautiful skin on her face!…and she is giggling her butt off cause she don’t have any))  Carol saysI think when you turn 60 you might just as well turn into a man because you start to look like one.   I am laughing so hard I practically pee my pants!   Last night I am having trouble sleeping and Al is sleeping and I start thinking of this story and I bust out laughing and I can’t quit, just like when you were a kid and got the giggles and knew you weren’t suppose to be laughing(like a the dinner table and you knew Dad was getting mad) and you still can’t stop, well last night Al was Dad!!  I would try to quit and just burst out laughing and I tried to quit thinking of Maud, I mean Carol and I could NOT stop!!  Needless to say today my eyes feel like two pee holes in a snow bank!!   boy do I LOVE my big sisters!!   I know you boys out there won’t think this is funny but I hope a few of you girls get a giggle out of this like I did!!!     christa

I can hardly believe I have a “kid” that is 40!!  He is one of the NICEST guys anyone could ever meet and I love him dearly and I THANK God he is my son in law!!  Happy Birthday Brad and many many more!!

Jared has been in extreme pain for quite a while now with lower back and hip pain going down his leg..I think it is sciatic nerve so now I am having such pain in my hip and lower back.  I mowed the other day and my leg is too short to reach the reverse pedal so I always had to lift up to push it so guess what the next day my opposite hip kills!!  it may just be I am having sympathy pains for Jared but I sure do know how he feels.  you can stand and lay but if you sit look out when you go to stand up.   Jared can hardly  sit even,  poor guy has a job where he is at a computer all day too…I was complaining to Al about the mower and he say’s Emilie doesn’t have any problems..and I said yeah and her legs are about 10 inches longer than mine!!  Us poor short legged people!!!:)

I can’t seem to make myself do anything anymore!  My house needs a good cleaning and I can NOT get in gear!  I hate it when I am so lazy!!!  I have a million things to be doing and I even made myself a list but still nothing done….boy it is hell getting old (and lazy)!!!       christa

I hope Dad can hear me!   I love you so much and still miss you like crazy!! We just had a nice father’s day lunch with Jared, Emilie, Zoe, Mitch and Kate at Cinco de Mayo…ummmh good!  Al you have been a great father to all five of my kids.   Happy Father’s Day to ALL you DAD’s out there!!!     daddy’s girl, christa
